Memorial Sloan Kettering, Mortimer B. Zuckerman Research Center
This 23-story skyscraper on Manhattan’s Upper East Side is one of the tallest laboratory buildings in the world. The building was designed not only to house state-of-the-art research facilities, but also to promote social interaction between the various teams of researchers. It is also one of the “greenest” lab buildings in the world, incorporating many sustainable design features both in its architectural elements (sun shading, high-tech frit glazing, etc) as well as in its MEP systems.
